Makonnen is Drake’s newest prodigy hailing from Atlanta, Georgia who has recently gained attention from many notable names such as Miley Cyrus and Mike Will, among others.

Along with the incredibly catchy track comes a seemingly eerie theme. The painted doll head from the cover of the ILOVEMAKONNEN EP is seen throughout the video in the form of masks on women and the object itself being carried around. The reason behind this links back to Makonnen’s days at The Beauty College of America in Forest Park, Georgia where he would draw on his mannequins to differentiate his work from the other student’s. Since then, the doll head has acted as consistent imagery and somewhat of a brand for the artist.

The video is completed with typical club scenes and cityscape shots. Drake, Makonnen, and other OVO affiliates are seen perusing the club while acting as walking billboards for the crew’s TOPSZN merchandise.

Check out the video above and listen to the full ILOVEMAKONNEN EP here.

Known best as Kanye West’s style adviser and co-owner of RSVP Gallery, Virgil has now released a number of notable streetwear projects such as Pyrex, and as of late, Off-White.

As Off-White moves past their initial burst onto the fashion scene, Virgil presents a robust collection that combines pre-defined brand labels and patterns with new colour palettes and graphics. Furthermore, fans can expect the same vertically striped pattern, “White” wordmark across the shoulders and crotch, as well as new aesthetics such as colourful patches and various floral patterns. Other innovations in this collection include the use of distressed denim, leather, and mesh to create a wide array of pieces such as shirts, jackets, bottoms, and more.

Check out the lookbook above and keep an eye out for the release of this collection sometime in the new year.

This collection uses tees, longsleeves, and beanies with like-coloured print and embroidery as a very simplistic approach to fashion for the colder months. Each piece of the collection showcases either “sleep” or “death” as an ominous reference to one of Nas’ lyrics from his 1994 track “NY State of Mind”.

A$AP Yams, A$AP Twelvy, and other Mob members sport a collection of incredibly versatile streetwear staples including logo tees, hoodies, and a bomber jacket featuring artwork from NY/DC based artist Naturel.

The collection is rounded out by two jerseys: a hockey jersey in a New York Rangers colourway, and a black baseball jersey inspired by NY great Derek Jeter.

This collection is available straight from Alife, and in select retailers.
